The Shepherd's Table is an ecumenical effort

(Followers of Jesus working together

sharing the love of our Lord Jesus).

We have members of the Church of Christ, United Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostals, Presbyterians,

working together to simply

"Share the Love of Jesus christ one meal at a time."

Everyone is invited and there is no fee but donations are accepted. The Shepherd's Table is open to everyone.

Our community kitchen serves free meals on the third Tuesdays.

We serve dine-in at this time, with drive thru available after 6:15.

The meals are always freshly prepared by a hard-working volunteer staff. Sometimes, hosts are businesses and community groups donating prepared items. The community kitchen was created by a group of volunteers that saw a need in the Huntingdon community.

Its success is dependent on your support. Both volunteering and donations are welcomed. Since March of 2018 The Shepherd's Table has fed over 7000 meals.

Yawl come and Join us at the table.

      Our Story...

In March 2018 we started serving meals “restaurant-style” to anyone hungry or wishing to dine with someone. Right out of the gate the devil tried to block our way by exposing a roof leak and a rotting floor. In fact most of the first year the pulpit was set up in the fellowship hall too, due to construction restoring the sanctuary sub-floor. We were even asked to postpone this endeavor until restoration was complete but we declined. We stood firm.

We did not do a lot of standing, to get the word out Rev. Arthur Lodge had designed invite/palm cards. A simple thing really, just a small card twice the size of a business card with all the details on it that we walk and hand out, door to door because “all are invited”. We witness, pray and visit with our neighbors. Going and sharing the good news of Jesus is the reason for this ministry, with a good dinner invitation too.

Since then we have served over 7000 meals. Food scarcity is real in our community.  We are grateful for the people, churches & businesses that understand food scarcity and donating time, money, and prayers to let this lead all involved to a closer relationship with our lord.

In order to do this, we need more volunteers, contributions, dedication, and prayers.

We cannot do this alone.  We offer this as an ecumenical effort, Our Shepherd's Table; to friends, brothers, and sisters from other churches and organizations. We ask that you prayerfully consider assisting us, by sponsoring a dinner, providing the meal or by volunteering.

Join us and see what the Lord has done!

Become a Good Shepherd today you will be richly blessed.
